Medium RP Skill Updates

June 2025

• Clarified that mediums can move stolen sparks between characters, not only return them to the correct character.
  • This was a spirit of the rule vs rules as written issue- there isn't any reason for them not to be able to do this, as the one-hour timer for the spark to return isn't reset. Most characters were roleplaying it in this fashion anyway.

Feb Feast 2025

• Mediums can see and interact with dissipated ghosts.
  • This was specified for no particular reason, move along.
• Level 4 ability changed to give the medium 4/ event no incant Pin Spirit, Enfeeble Spirit, Silence Spirit, or Charm Spirit in any combination.
  • Previously: The medium gains 10 power points that aren't affected by cap, which may be used to cast any Compulsion spell up to level 3. You do not need to know the spell to cast it. Add the word 'Spirit' to the call for any tag bags made (for example Pin Spirit! or Silence Spirit!'').

Feb Feast 2023

• Changed the skill at most levels considerably.
  • Level 1 largely the same.
  • Level 2 gained the channel spark ability that was previously at level 3. Gained additional reap spirit uses, no longer makes all reap spirits no incant.
  • Level 3 now prevents hostile spirit effects and allows seances instead of channeling sparks and compelling ghosts
  • Level 4 now compels spirits. Trapping spirits has been moved to a ritual.
  • Level 5 is now a custom created ability (which could still be the old Speak with Dead).
