Effect

A ritual candle is an item required to enact many rituals. It may be put out after a ritual is done. When there is no more wick to burn the candle is destroyed forever, a new one must be crafted to replace it.

Props

PC owned Ritual candles should always be period appropriate materials (using real flame) and not electronic, because for some rituals if the flame goes out the ritual is disrupted and has to be redone. NPC ritual candles will sometimes be electronic however for fire safety reasons (plots involving fighting around a ritual being performed).

Candles should never be left burning unattended.
